Description
The BVLGARI Serpenti Tubogas is Bulgari’s most architecturally singular creation — a watch that dissolves the boundary between jewelry and timepiece entirely, the coiled tubular bracelet wrapping the wrist in a continuous helix that references the serpent motif Bulgari has deployed since the 1940s and the Tubogas goldsmithing technique the house mastered in the same era. The Tubogas construction — parallel gold tubes wound into a flexible coil without any soldering or linking — is a craft that demands exceptional goldsmithing precision and produces a bracelet of distinctive springlike suppleness that no other construction technique replicates. The automatic movement within the Serpenti Tubogas, introduced in 2023, marked a significant technical milestone for the collection — the engineering challenge of fitting a self-winding caliber within the constrained geometry of the egg-shaped case representing a genuinely novel horological achievement for a form previously reserved for quartz movements exclusively.
The rose gold egg-shaped case carries a diamond-set bezel with a ruby cabochon crown. The white opaline soleil dial presents a fine guilloché sunray pattern, rose gold applied Roman numeral hour markers at twelve and six alongside rose gold baton markers, and rose gold leaf hands. The double-coil Tubogas bracelet wraps the wrist in horizontally ribbed rose gold tubing, its flexible construction adapting to the wrist. A Swiss automatic movement powers the watch.
