Mother-of-pearl is among the few dial materials that genuinely changes with every viewing angle, its iridescent surface shifting between ivory, pale pink, and silver depending on light conditions — and Rolex confirms that no two mother-of-pearl dials are identical, each possessing a unique internal structure from the shell it was extracted from.
