Description
The Jubilee motif dial on the 36mm Oyster Perpetual carries a particular resonance for collectors who track the model’s history: the original Jubilee design debuted on the Datejust and Oyster Perpetual in the late 1970s when the 36mm was the dominant case size in the family, making this centenary reissue a more direct historical callback than the same dial on larger configurations. At 36mm, the Jubilee motif’s dense typographic composition fills the case proportions differently than on the 41mm — the pattern reads as tighter and more jewel-like, lending the reference a visual density that rewards close examination. Like all 2026 Jubilee dial models, each of the ten lacquer colors is applied individually by pad printing, an exacting sequential process that Rolex positions as a demonstration of its in-house dial-making mastery. The 36mm stainless steel Oyster case carries a domed bezel and screw-down crown, paired with a three-link Oyster bracelet with Easylink comfort extension. The Jubilee motif dial presents the Rolex name in a continuous ten-color lacquer composition across the entire dial surface, with applied luminous baton hour markers and Mercedes hands in polished steel providing legibility against the vibrant ground. Caliber 3230 with blue Parachrom hairspring and approximately 70-hour power reserve powers the movement.
