Description
The Rolex Yacht-Master II returned at Watches & Wonders 2026 after a two-year catalogue absence, arriving in an entirely reworked generation that addresses the one consistent criticism of its predecessor: operational complexity. Reference 126680 replaces the bezel-linked Ring Command programming system with a simplified pusher-operated interface, making the programmable regatta countdown genuinely accessible at pace on the water. For collectors who track Rolex’s Professional line, the combination of a ground-up movement redesign and the first new Yacht-Master II generation since 2017 makes this reference an immediate landmark — one that arrived with the credibility of the brand’s strengthened 2026 Superlative Chronometer certification behind it.
The 44mm stainless steel Oyster case carries a bidirectional rotating bezel fitted with a blue Cerachrom insert graduated for 60-minute intervals. The matte white lacquer dial presents applied luminous hour markers and Mercedes hands in yellow gold, with red lacquer accents on the countdown hands and a blue sub-seconds register at six o’clock — the regatta countdown now displayed on a dedicated flange ring, with minute and seconds hands running counterclockwise during timing. A three-link Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock clasp completes the reference. Caliber 4162 with column wheel, vertical clutch, and approximately 72-hour power reserve powers the movement.
