Description
The 5270P-016 is the blue-dial sibling within Patek Philippe’s 2026 expansion of the 5270 perpetual calendar chronograph — a reference that deploys the same concave-bezel platinum case and six-patent caliber CH 29-535 PS Q as the 5270P-015 but arrives at an entirely different emotional register through its lacquered blue dial with graduating black rim. Blue dials on perpetual calendar chronographs carry a specific collector resonance within Patek Philippe’s catalogue history — the colour has appeared on some of the reference’s most celebrated platinum executions — and the 5270P-016 positions this 2026 generation within that tradition while applying the contemporary concave bezel architecture that distinguishes the entire new platform. The contrast between platinum’s cool grey tone and deep lacquered blue produces a nocturnal quality that the charcoal dial variant does not achieve.
The 41mm entirely polished platinum case carries a concave bezel and two-tier lugs, with a diamond set at six o’clock on the case flank. The lacquered blue dial with black-gradient rim presents white gold faceted “obus”-style applied hour markers, a printed white tachymeter scale, and white gold dauphine hands. A day/month double aperture at twelve, day/night and leap year indicators in round apertures, a moon phase, and a date hand at six complete the perpetual calendar display. A black composite fabric-pattern strap with blue contrast stitching and platinum fold-over clasp completes the reference. Caliber CH 29-535 PS Q, manually wound, 456 parts, powers the movement.
